I tried this… with little success. So little success that I stopped and have had a poetry book sitting stagnant in Amazon for 2-3 years now….

I am sorry to hear that. I am not expecting success. Well, not atleast for the next 5 years, and probably more like 10. If you don’t start, you will never know. A writing career is something that takes a life time to build.

Could have just been it wasn’t your time yet.
For me, I am okay if no one but my Mom reads my book. It will be out there for the world when it’s time. Maybe it won’t be time untill after I am gone. That’s okay. I don’t write tonget famous. I write because I have to.

I know I sound like a broken record but you have a gift and in the world of poets, there’s literally thousands. But your’s is very easily distinguishable by pure talent.
There’s people who write because they think they’re poets. There’s people who write because they feel the need to. And then there’s people who write because you have the gift of writing and that gift is trying to get out and bless and inspire others.

I have several posts I call “testimony posts” where I tell my story. Some people have said they’re comforting and encouraging and some people unfollowed me shortly after reading them.

I mean it bothered me.. but These people wrote books about their own testimonies and overcoming through Jesus. Then they drop me? lol! Testimonies aren’t pretty. And some of us have done stuff we still aren’t happy about to this day. But to unfollow because it made you that uncomfortable, yeah, I’m glad they moved on to find prettier people.

I’ve decided to delete the blog. I’m debating on other blogs in the future. Just, nothing is working for me right now in regards to staying.
