“Covering creative culture with Christianity Today“
“Within the pages of Ekstasis, we exhibit arts and letter that reflect the depths of Christian life.”
– from the Ekstasis Magazine About Page –
I have found the pages of Ekstasis Magazine, both online and in print, to be a place of great beauty and deep thought, reverence and worship, joy and celebration.
I would like to thank the editorial team for including my poem “Never Empty” in their Autumn online lineup.
I invite you to visit them and enjoy the many rich works of writers/artists of all kinds.
“Ekstasis publishes work that slants toward the triumphant and glorious aspects of life in Christ, framed through the arts and literature. Ekstasis is based in the work of Beautiful Orthodoxy, as defined by Christianity Today.”

I have again been honored by a publication on Calla Press.
The Pansy’s Purpose is a creative non-fiction story, told from the viewpoint of a small garden pansy. It’s a very personal story, and I feel it has found a perfect home.
The little flower was waiting. It sat quietly with its siblings in a plastic tray. The sun was warm, the waiting long. But what else was there to do? A woman with tired, anxious eyes came looking for the right blooms. First impressions were important, things needed to be just right.
Today I have filled with gratitude for all of the people who have supported me on my writing journey so far. If you have purchased my book, make sure to let me know by emailing me a selfie of you and The Branch That I Am, or take a screen shot of your favorite poem’s […]

At Calla Press, we are unashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ and we desire to glorify His name above all else.
– SAMANTHA CABRERA, Calla Press Founder and Editor
It blessed me to be in the right online writing group at the right time to hear Samantha Cabrera’s announcement about reopening Calla Press. What a job they have done. The new website is gorgeous and the stories and voices they are amplifying do just what they claim their mission is all about. Glorifying Jesus Christ.
Calla Press is a Christian literary journal publishing articles, poetry, prose, flash fiction, creative none fiction, and photography.
– Calla Press Website

I finally got up the courage to send three of my poems in for consideration at Agape Review and was very pleased to have all three accepted. The editors said my work resonated with them. It’s always great to receive feedback like that.
Agape Review is a new online venue I have been following since their first post. They have been pulling in some great work that reflects on the Christian Faith. If you enjoy reading reflections, poetry, fiction, and creative none fiction with a faith element, they are a must read.
Thank you to their team for giving my words a space.
